Project in development β€” Validation and pilot stage. No active services offered yet.

Coastal intelligence
for clearer decisions

A platform in development to integrate marine and coastal data and turn it into organized evidence for action.

We are looking for allies to validate in the field.

We are not selling services yet. We are in the validation and pilot stage.

What is it for?

There is a lot of scattered information about sargassum and reefs. CoralSentinel aims to turn it into organized, actionable evidence for those who need to act.

From scattered to visible

Integrate data from different sources (sea, beach, field) into a single zone-based view, making it easier to understand what is happening.

Evidence to prioritize

Organize information so government, tourism, and NGO teams can coordinate and allocate resources with greater clarity.

Traceability and human review

Where applicable, analyses include expert review. We do not replace professional judgment β€” we support it with organized data.

Sargassum: coastal intelligence dashboard

A web dashboard to integrate and visualize sargassum information β€” from open sea to beach β€” supporting operational decisions with organized evidence. Actively in validation.

WHAT IT COVERS

  • Maps by zone and trends

Visualization of coastal conditions by area with temporal tracking to detect changes over time.

  • Logging of arriving sargassum

Not just what is collected: arrival estimates as part of the broader picture for prioritizing efforts.

  • Barrier assessment (in validation)

Qualitative evaluation of coastal barrier condition and effectiveness, to be validated with field teams.

What we need to validate

  • Operational allies (municipalities, hotels, NGOs) willing to test the dashboard in their zones
  • Feedback on which indicators are truly useful for making decisions
  • Possibility of a pilot: defining sites, periods, and formats for each context
  • Field experts who can review and challenge what we are building

We do not publish ally information without prior authorization. NDAs are available if needed.

Coral reefs: research and automation

Support for scientific research teams to automate the most repetitive parts of photo and underwater video analysis, without removing expert review.

WHAT CAN BE AUTOMATED

Repetitive tasks

  • Image extraction from video (campaign-based processing)
  • File organization and classification by site and date
  • Generation of exportables and campaign reports
  • Preliminary coverage and composition analysis (subject to human validation)

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO WITHOUT EXPERT REVIEW

Important limits

  • Does not diagnose coral diseases with certainty without field validation
  • Does not replace the judgment of experienced researchers or divers
  • Does not make management decisions without human review
  • Does not produce publishable data without team validation

Who can benefit from it?

CoralSentinel is designed for different profiles working with the coastline from various perspectives.

Government

Municipal, state, and federal. Coordination, logistics, and evidence-based decision making.

Hotels and tourism

Operators and hotels with beachfront presence that need visibility to plan operations.

NGOs and environmental orgs

Field organizations that generate valuable data and need reporting tools.

Research

Labs and universities working with field data who want to optimize analysis workflows.

Professionals

Research divers, environmental monitors, and consultants with coastal field experience.

How can you collaborate?

We are looking for three types of collaboration. None involves payment or open-ended commitment.

Field validation

Join a pilot with your team: test the dashboard in your zone, give us direct feedback on what works, what does not, and what is missing. No long-term usage commitments.

Data and evidence

Share existing records under clear usage and confidentiality agreements. We do not publish or use data without explicit authorization.

Technical and scientific advisory

Experts who want to review the indicators, methodologies, or approaches we are developing. Your professional judgment is what gives the platform meaning.
